Congrats to all high school runners who participated in the WV State Meet over the weekend. The weather was excellent and the races were intense.
The hurdle events seemed to have it out for the participants. Friday saw a lot of hits on the track with participants tripping and hitting the ground hard. That was painful to watch, but made for some good races from the respective teams. I applaud them for getting back up and finishing the run, way to go!

I found the boys open 800 where the second place finisher dove across the finish line. It was spectacular! Kudos to him for the attempt to finish strong. You can’t coach that in a runner. It must come from within. CLICK HERE.

I recommend you watch some of the distance races and take note when and where the leaders “make their moves” to finish.
